Doctor Lynn Utecht
Dr. Lynn Utecht is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a native of South Dakota and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts from the University of South Dakota. Her medical degree was awarded in 1985 from Eastern Virginia Medical School. Following an internship in Internal Medicine at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia, she served as a General Medical Officer on board the U.S.S. Vulcan. Dr. Utecht completed her dermatology residency at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD in 1991. She served as staff dermatologist and Head of Department of
dermatology at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA and Naval Hospital Rota, Spain. In 1999 she was appointed as the Specialty Advisor for Dermatology to the Surgeon General of the U.S. Navy.
Retiring From the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service, Dr. Utecht joined Atlantic Dermatology Associates in May, 2005. She is married and has two children. Her interests include tennis, skiing, traveling, and cooking.
