Dr. Tracy Novosel is board certified in dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She was born in Laurel, Maryland and, as an Army dependent, she moved with her family to Arizona, Washington, Virginia and Germany. In 1994, she graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. While attending college and after graduating, she worked for IBM and Anderson Consulting for two years.
Dr. Novosel was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy in April 1996. She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia in 2000. In 2001, she completed a pediatric internship at Portsmouth Naval

Hospital and, in 2002, she completed training as a Naval Flight Surgeon. Dr. Novosel then served as a Flight Surgeon for Air Carrier Wing One at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach and deployed on the U.S.S. Enterprise to the Persian Gulf.
From July 2005 to June 2008, she completed her residency in Dermatology at Eastern Virginia Medical School and joined Atlantic Dermatology in August, 2008. While she enjoys all aspects of dermatology, Dr. Novosel has a special interest in contact dermatitis (skin allergies), pediatric dermatology, and melanoma.
