Dr. Kristen Martin is board certified in dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. In 1991, Dr. Martin graduated with honors from Fl. Southern College in Lakeland, Fl. with a B.S. in Biology. She was commissioned as an ensign in the U.S. Navy in August 1991 and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995 from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.
After completing a transitional internship at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, Ca., Dr. Martin moved to Pensacola, Fl., where she became a U.S. Naval Flight Surgeon in 1997.

In 2002 she completed her residency in Dermatology at the Naval Medical Center
in San Diego, Ca. She moved to the Tidewater Area, where she served as a staff dermatologist at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center from 2002 to 2006.
Dr. Martin departed Naval service after 15 years and joined Atlantic Dermatology Associates in June, 2006. Dr. Martin is married and her interests include running, cooking, piano, and gardening.
